			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I had a meeting with my Podiatrist on Tuesday and between us we discovered that it is my trainers that could be causing the problem with my foot.  They are not ordinary trainers but specialist ones with orthodontic shaping and this is working against my orthodontic insoles.  When I bought them I thought this would help with my foot but I had forgotten all about it!  So now they are up for sale on ebay and I await the delivery of some training shoes as against running shoes.  According to the reviews I should be able to wear them to the gym, power walking, jogging, etc.  This morning I did my warm up, 10 mins treadmill, 5 mins rowing, 5 mins cross trainer, resistance phase followed by 45 minutes of power yoga&#8230;. much better!  I wore my new golf shoes with the insoles &#8211; these are no ordinary golf shoes but ones I can wear to go shopping in  as well&#8230;. they are a bit like the ones Tiger Woods now wears.</p>
<p>So I am optimistic for the weeks ahead&#8230; my foot is about 80% OK and I have 2 weeks left to reach my target weight (I wish!) but more importantly I can get back into a routine with my fitness, what a saga it has been.  Please don&#8217;t let anything else go wrong!  I am having a Week 24 Assessment so I&#8217;m going to try and pull all the stops out these next two weeks and surprise my Personal Trainer <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' />   I keep putting off the swimming but I might have to don the swimsuit this week.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I did very little exercise last week as my foot is still swollen to twice the size it should be, I am at a loss to know what to do with it.  This morning I have done some yoga and a work out cd with Matt Roberts &#8211; I could do all of it apart from the lunges because of my foot.  I shall just continue with the bike/weights/xtrainer and resistance phase work for the time being.  I should reach my goal weight by Week 24, but I still have a long way to go!  It isn&#8217;t the program that&#8217;s not working, its me&#8230;&#8230;.I&#8217;m not giving up though!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I can&#8217;t believe how the weeks are flying by!  I played golf and it has upset my foot, so definately no more golf until its better.  I can use the x trainer though but my foot is so painful I find the lunges, etc difficult.  Yesterday I spent all day putting ice packs on and pernaton gel trying to bring the swelling down and today it does feel a bit easier.  So, I shall continue as best I can with yoga, weights, bike, etc and see how it goes.  A very happy, healthy and prosperous new year to everyone, may it bring you everything you wish for xx</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Days 1 &#8211; 7: </strong> A mix of yoga, pilates, weights and bike</p>
<p>It is Day 6 today and I hate to admit that I have done very little fitness work this week, mainly due to being busy at work.  I cannot workout in the garage anymore as it is far too cold and damp in there, but I have brought my static bike indoors so I can still use that and the resistance phase part of my program, plus yoga, etc.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am upset that I cannot continue with my walking for the timebeing after having worked so hard to get up to 45-60 minutes power walking but my lovely personal trainer says I should see it as a plus and use this time to work on other areas of my body and that way I won&#8217;t lose my fitness level.  She is very encouraging and has once again motivated me to keep going.  Thank you Lucy!</p>
<p><strong>Day 1:</strong>  Power Yoga mixed with Pilates</p>
<p><strong>Day 2:</strong>  Rest</p>
<p><strong>Day 3 &#8211; 6:</strong>  Weights, Power Yoga, Bike &amp; Rowing machine plus core exercises</p>
<p><strong>Day 7:</strong>  Rest</p>
<p>It should have been my Week 15 Assessment at the end of this week but because I am not walking at the moment we have decided to postpone it.  Part of the assessment is based on walking 1 mile and checking how long that takes and checking my pulse.  Lucy then does some calculations that tells her my Vo2max, or fitness level.</p>

<p>I had an appointment with a Podiatrist this week and we have decided that I need to have special insoles made to help with my feet problems.  After discussing this with him and also my personal trainer it was decided to discontinue the treadmill/power walking until I am able to wear the insoles for fitness work (this could take several weeks).  Therefore I will be concentrating on core work, spending more time on the rowing machine and bike and more power yoga sessions.  This will keep my fitness levels up for the time being.</p>
